Cows of Boragaon Landfill in Guwahati City, India

200.00 300.00

Bangladesh’s holiday, Eid al-Adha is when millions of cows are killed for the the Muslim Holiday. Therefore, you will never find a living cow in a landfill because they are a veryvaluable commodity. In contrast, India believes that cows are a sacred creature of God by the Hindi. Even though people are scavenging for food and ways of livelihood, cows dominate and roam the vast mountains of garbage at Boragaon Landfill in India. I met family there who were catering over a sick cow. The cow had some sort of disease and was dying, yet the family cared and attended to it in the hopes the cow will get better.
