Project NICA provides Environmental, Educational and Healthcare projects for a landfill community at La Chureca.
Environmental Sector:
- Biogas Bag Digestion to control and clean Leachate (landfill water) at La Chureca
- Employing the local community with Gardening and Greenhouse Projects.
- Employing the local community with Earth Brick creation for building homes and to help the local clinic.
- Cleaning waste water with Duckweed.
Healthcare Sector:
- We will be collaborating with the local clinic, Manna Project, to help promote their clinic and many services. Such collaboration will include fundraising, searching for needed supplies, helping with the expansion of the clinic and healthy lifestyle campaigning in the community.
Educational Sector:

- Yoga Program: Los Guerreros Pacificos
- Creative Acting Program: Las Florecitas al Sol
Los Guerreros Pacificos is a kids Yoga Program to promote health, mindfulness and channeling of positive energy.
Las Florecitas al Sol is a Creative Acting Program. These small comedic, Novela-style skits are fun and educational.
